HI everyone, I am back home from the hospital. Thanks to everyone for thoughts and prayers. I started having some bloody stools on Tuesday and didn't think much about it, thought it was old blood from surgery making it's way through my system. But by Wednesday I was very weak and pale and it took every ounce of strength I had to just walk each step. I went to the doc and had blood drawn and it was way down. So they sent me over to the hospital and I had a scope put down my throat and had a bleeding artery where my colon was attached to my pouch. They clipped it off and put me on clear liquids for the next couple of days. I got 2 units of blood and 3 units of plasma. They told me I had lost 40% of my blood volume, so you talk about scary. I put it in the "stuff happens" category and would still recommend this surgery to people. I am feeling better now and hope this is my last complication from the surgery. Again thanks for your prayers and well wishes. Greg

Hi sweetie, sooooooooo glad to see you are alright. I know complications will happen, I'm just glad they were able to fix the problem quickly. That's my biggest fear, if something happens after I come home of getting back to the hospital. it's 3-4 hours trip one way. Keep resting, liquids, protein and get better. Love ya, Kathy
