Hi, I'm currently researching doctors in the Tri-Cities area and I'm wondering if anyone has any information on Dr. Jeffrey Kappa, Dr. Keith Campbell, or on Dr. Geoffrey Bloomfield. I was going to go with Dr. Watson in Johnson City, but I've had a few problems with their office. Last year I didn't have a "processing fee" and now they expect me to pay them $200 before I even get approved for the surgery. So I'm looking for a new doc. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!
Hi Ashley, I called Kingsport for Dr. Bloomfield but he is no longer with that group. Dr. Digby in Elizabethton next to Johnson City only charges $100 after everything has been approved. There's Dr. Oxley in Franklin, TN that doesn't charge anything up front. Also you don't have a consult appointment or even a second appointment. You attend his seminar, fill out the packet, submitt Dr.'s letters, medical papers or file, once he reviews it, it will be sent to your insurance company for approval. Once that's been approved, Pam his surgerical coordinator will schedule you for your pre-op appointment with Dr. Oxley, you'll get registered at the hospital, lab work, and see the nutrionist all in one day and get your surgical date. I live exactly in the middle of Knoxville and Kingsport, but having problem with Hodge, and Digby, and Hodges partner Watson, I was told about Oxley. Pam is a real sweetheart. She calls me back the very next day. Sent me the packet to fill out so I wouldn't have to make several trips, I have already mailed back the packet. Will attend his seminar on Sept. 20, the nutrionist is on Wednesday only, so that's why I will see the nutrionist when I see the Dr. The best part, no psych eval for eating disorders if you are already under a psychologist/shrinks care.
