Nashville's Walk From Obesity!!! READ!!!!

Attention Tennesseans!! Nashville's Walk from Obesity is coming up! This event will take place Saturday, September 18th at 8:00 am at Hall of Fame Park, 4th Avenue & Demonbreun, in Nashville. We all know how important this is and I hope you will all take part. You can either choose to do the 1 mile walk or a 5 mile run. HAHAHA i'd be on the ground in the fetal position if I attempted the run. I'll be in the walk lane. You can register online at www.WalkFromObesity.com. There is an $18 registration fee before 9-11-04, or $25 on the day of the event. You get a free T-shirt too! For any of you who are close enough, the Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity has obesity awareness ribbons for a $1 donation. There is a basket full of them on the window at the checkin desk. They are cute, they look like tape measures. I'm wearing mine!! Their office is at the corner of 22nd Avenue and Murphy Avenue across from the Centennial Women's Hospital. We had discussed in the past having a Tennessee get together for the members of our board. I think this would be a great opportunity to do that. We can do the walk and have the rest of the weekend to hang out. What do you guys think of that idea? Oh yeah, and The Nashville Stars are performing after the walk. Please let me know if you are interested and we'll start looking for hotels and restaurants to arrange our shin dig. God bless! Melanie, I hope you all have a blast. Given the neck and still being obese as hell, I won't be able to participate this year, but pencil me in for next year. Hopefully, I'll be lean, mean, and painfree by then. Kelly

I am planning on being there... I have several people at my work that are planning on donating money.... But I would love to have a get together with all my newly found family.... So how's things been going Melanie? I am doing better now that I can eat and keep it down. We definately have to get together sometime soon... hugs Robin

Hiya Robin! Wanna walk together? My husband is coming too. Its going to be fun. The Nashville Stars are performing after the event. Never heard of them but i'm assuming its a band.
