I HAVE A DATE!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it I already have a date!I go for pre-op testing September third . Then my surgery will be September 8th !!!! My mother is worried but supportive, my husband is not very thrilled he is more worried that something will go wrong and wondering what he is going to do with the kids and their ball practice and how much time he will have to take off from work and stuff like that . Did anyone else have this kind of problem? and if so how did you deal with it? Anyway I am not going to let it get me down this is for me and my health. And I am very happy. So Save me a seat on that losers bench cause here I come!!!!! Tammy

Congrads Tammy. Men are just the worriers of our life. Have a friend step in to help with the kids baseball and other things. Although in home nursing will be coming in each day to check and change the bandages, I will be also having a nurses aid from an agency come in from 3-11, while my careprovider works. I have to have an open surgery so I will need the extra help. You will do fine, just trust God to be with you. Kathy

Thanks Kathy . He is starting to come around a little bit. As for ball practice the coach said him would be happy to pick them up and drop them off. I have always heard God has a way of making everything work out and I am truely beginning to believe it. Tammy

Congradulations Tammy! I am so glad for you! I was wanting to get online earlier but had problems with my computer crashing. We just now got it back. I go for preop in the morning. I hope it goes well too. Lisa

Congrats to you also I just read your post on your date. I will try and post when I get home from the hospital to let you know everything that happens. I always like to know ahead of time it makes me less nervous. Oh on the list of stuff you have to get before surgery that phisohex soap is a prescription I called and she said any antibacterial soap would be fine. Hope that helps some. Tammy
