I had lap on July 9, and I found out we are moving on cherokee lake in morrisville,tenn. Does any one know if there is any doc. I can go to for help. Is this a nice area. I need help.Cindy from cincinnati

Not sure where that is, but if close to Nashville, I recommend, Dr, Doug Olsen or Dr, Dyer, or Dr, Houston at Centennial hosptial in Nashville. Let me know if you want the phone number. I just had Dr. Olsen do the RNY for me and they have a very nice baratric program. Carolyn

Hi Cindy. I'm not familiar with Morrisville either, and I've lived here my entire life. I, too, highly recommend the group at Centennial. Dr. Houston did my lap RNY in May. They have a wonderful program and everyone at Centennial is terrific. I love all of Tennessee, and i'm sure you'll be happy here. Welcome, and God bless! Melanie

Hi Cindy, Are you referring to Morristown or Morrisville. Never heard of Morrisville, but I live close to Morristown. Cherokee Lake runs near MOrristown. It's a nice Place, but no gastric surgeon in the city. There are 3 in Johnson City/Elizabethton. That's about an hour from Morristown. Then there is Knoxville a two very good Dr.s there. Let me know for sure and when you are moving. I have most of my Dr.'s live in the Morristown area, and they are great ones. That part I can help you out with. Good Luck. Kathy

Cindy, I agree with Cathy, you probably mean Morristown. I live in Newport which is about 25 miles from there. I have worked there and my husband still does. I am having lap on Sept 9th. I go to Dr. Morton in Nashville, which is about 4 hours away. The area around Cherokee Lake is very nice but a far cry from the big city. Email me and I will give you my phone # and we can talk. Morristown is the name of the city...My husband grew up there and all of his family still lives there Anyway, I used Dr. Boyce in Knoxville...Great, great surgeon. It's not TOO far away from Morristown (I think he's the closest Doc to Motown, with the Johnson City docs coming in a close second, but they usually have hellish waiting lists) You can find Dr. B in the surgeon's list here on OH.
