Updates from Kathy's clown
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know what is going on. First off, I had my third sleep level test done last night. But I was supposed to go next Monday evening, and got my dates mixed up. (yes Michele I was over tired) They had a no show so they went ahead and took me. Found out some very interesting facts. The two I had in june were correct because I was in a full size bed that was like a hospital bed, had my head elavated, causing me to not need as much air, so they say. Last night I was in a flat bed, very painful on the hip and the lower part of my back. But the reading was done on a bi-pap instead of a cpap. I'm 16/13. The 13 is the lowest setting that I can be put on. I see my sleep Dr. at 8am today, for an ear infection caused by staph. The canel is sealed shut with scabs from the staph. I will also find out what they are going to do regarding my machine.
Now, received a message from Barbara Krantz. Within days of her surgery, she started getting real sick and couldn't keep fluids down. She became dehydrated and had to be hospitalized for 2 days. What she found out was that her regular Dr. had prescibed Methodone to her for severe back pain. When she had the surgery, she didn't have any pain afterwards so she didn't need to take the Meth pain medication. What caused her to be so sick, was withdrawals from the pain medication. Her surgery was July 28, because of being so sick, she has lost 40 #'s in two weeks. I would like to lose that much in two weeks without the medication with drawals. She is doing so much better now.
Those of you living in or near Morristown this is for you. Healthstar Phycians on W. Morris Blvd. On the burger king side where Midtown Pharmacy is located, there's a physical therapy clinic there. Machines, weights walking area. You don't need a Dr.'s referral to work out there, just $37 a month, come as often and stay as often as you like. One of the therapists will get you started and show you how to do the machines. Plus a chart for you to record your progress. They even have a scale there. Better then having to fork out a lot of $'s to join a club.
I know I will be going there for a while after surgery because of joint pain. Then I can go with the transportation van for $4 one way, and $4 to bring me home. I know that when we turn off the main road, it is one mile exactly to my drive way. That's my tip for the day. Go****'s 4:15am and I leave here at 7:15 to see the sleep Dr. who is also my ear doctor. Then at 1pm I have to see my new psychologist. I hate having to change therapists all the time. OH Well, morning or good evening.
Hugs to y'all, Kathy
Sounds like you are a busy busy girl Kathy. One thing I do have to say is that all post-ops should exercise as soon as the surgeon tells you that you are able. It is such an energy booster and believe me no matter how much you weigh it will shrink some of that extra skin that we all are going to have. I'm hoping for the best with the arms and legs. I'm thinking that a tummy tuck will be in order some time next year though. It's ok I want to do a breast reduction also, so they can do all of that in the same day. I know I'll be a hurting puppy, but in the end it will all be worth it.

I had to us my C-PAP as soon as I got to my room but they had to add oxygen to it I just couldn't keep my levels out of the sixties with just plain O2 on. Keeping you in my prayers !!
