~*GREG*~
Hi Lori!
Are you Greg's wife?!? Cause sheesh - He never told us you were looking into surgery too! Silly man!
However, Thanks so much for letting me know how he's doing! I was thinking about him all day monday but didn't have time to get all the information from him.
Give him a big hug for me! I hope he has a speedy recovery and he's back with us soon! That's so fantastic that he was able to have lap ryn instead of open - I'm kinda jealous!
Best wishes and Good luck,
Katie
Hello Katie,
I talked to Greg earlier and he is a bit hoarse from the intubation tube they put in for the surgery but he was getting ready to drink his first protein shake and has been well today.
I am Greg's ex-wife.We are best friends and the rest I will let him share as he sees fit.LOL.I don't want to speak for him.
I have been researching the WLS for 2 yrs now. I jumped through all the hoops and such and got my first denial today, well denial for provider but not denial for surgery. The reason was because I was trying to get out of network authorization for Dr Boyce and they tell me there is an in network provider that does the WLS,so I have to appeal or go with the in network provider.
Has anyone used Dr Watson in Johnson City? I hate to have to go through all that stuff again..nutrit.consult,cardiac clearance etc.,espec. since CIGNA is approving it,just not approving it to be done by Dr.Boyce.
If anyone is familiar with Dr Watson, please let me know.
Joe thanks for your concern
I have told Greg how missed he is. Hope he doesn't get the big head!!LOL
Hugs to all,
Lori
Hi Lori!
Thanks for the update on Greg! I'm so glad to hear he's doing well - Any word on when he'll be heading up?
By the way, I have a friend that went to Dr. Watson in Johnson City. She liked him alot, referred me to go to him but my insurance didn't cover that doctor.
If you were to switch doctors - I don't see why they'd make you do all that over again. Just have the doctors fax them the information, I may be wrong but the best thing you can do is just to call Dr. Watson's office and see what they have to say!
Good luck and please keep us posted on your journey and of course, Greg's recovery!
Hugs,
Katie
Hi Lori, tell Greg I'm sending him my prayers. I saw Hodge, he denied me and gave my file to Watson, who also denied me. Because I am in a wheelchair. That I have health problems. Duh!!!!! So I have been on the lookout again. There is also a Dr. in Elizabethton, it's near Johnson City. Dr. Digby only charges $100 when you are approved. Hodge and Watson charge $200 at the first appointment. Someone told me that Hodge and Watson were going to increase their fee to the $3000 fee. But I don't know for sure, they denied me before I found out that info. All I can say is best of luck to you. May God be with you at this time and with Greg. Kathy
Hello Lori,
I am glad to hear Greg is doing well!!
He has been very sweet and kind to me and very helpful when I asked for information from him concerning the phych consult etc..
Concerning Dr Watson, I see his partner Dr Hodges, and from everything I have heard about Dr Watson he is an excellent Dr.
When calling for my first consult in that office I was in, within a week.. for $200, which my insurance would not cover and then I will have to pay the fee they submitted to insurance after that consult for $253 and then $165 for second consult..But with the finances aside, I have never had a problem getting in quickly. However, I must say that I have not been in there more than once YET..(however have called a couple times for scheduling my second consult but due to my lack of funds, have to wait..but if I had the cash I would have gotten in within a week on that one too) he gives a list of things to complete before coming for second consult, and if you have had them completed, you just send the records to his office and on your consult they will proceed by giving a test to make sure you are fully aware of everything you heard in the nutrition class and read the book he gives you.. You should not have a problem at all getting in quickly and may even be able to get your date sooner even, since you have been approved already and have everything completed.. Best of luck to you.. If I can help with anything just holler.. and give Greg my best wishes for a speedy recovery and let him know that he is in my prayers..thank you.
hugs,
Dawn
