Self Pay ??????????

I'm from northern Mo. and looks like self pay as Insurance is not budging. Was wondering if anyone knows cost of self pay in TN., what doc's, hospital . I'm do not want open surgery If possible.. Thanks in advance for al you help Bob

Bob, Have you looked into the Dr. in Spain? (Im not sure of his name, but he is very well known and it shouldn't be hard to find out) I've heard he is a pioneer in the field, and has performed thousands of these type surgeries. As I understand it, the total cost, with airfare and hotel is alot less than if you had it done here in the states. Also, a woman I work with went to Tijuana Mexico, and has done just as well as anyone I know that had it here. I hope this provides some insight, and good luck on your journey. Carol

Hey Rob, what do they charge in MO for self pay? Here, it varies from dr. to Dr. but an average of $20,000 to $60,000. All I can say is best of luck and hopefully you will find a surgeon that you can afford. Kathy

Hi Bob, Sorry to hear that insurance is not cooperating! I am soon to be trying on my end for approval..hope they will grant it when that time comes! Hey Bob, I am going through the same thing. Here in Clarsville if you self pay it is somewhere around 16,000.00 to 20,000.00. I have also checked into a doctor in Dalton GA. He is a great doctor and has a wonderful reputation. He trained the doctors here in Clarksville on doing the Lap Band Procedure. If you are interested in that I can give you some more information.
