Not Missing In Action Any Longer

Sorry guys about being away. I had to suddenly drive to New York State to be with my family on Monday afternoon. We had a family member pass away and I really needed to be there. I missed my 6 week post-op appointment and need to reschedule on Monday. So...I'm not too sure what the total weight loss is. Right now I feel like I may be at a plataeu. Anyone else having these?? Hope that you all have a great weekend and I'm gonna try to get on here more often. Anne PS....Katie, I don't care how much you weigh or how much you need to weigh or what you look like. We need you here. You have already lost over 100lbs and you are my inspiration!!!!!! Forget the others....

Hiya Anne and welcome back! So sorry to hear about the passing of your relative. Thats never easy. Your family will be in my prayers. I cant believe its been 6 weeks already since your surgery. Cant wait to hear about your success!!! Girl, dont even say that evil pl*tea* word around me lol. I've been on one from hell for 5 weeks. I got so upset last Friday I jumped up and down (literally) on my scale, cursed at it and wanted to sma**** on the counter. If it wasnt for fear of breaking the counter top I would have done so. I put the scale in the top of dh's closet. I'm trying to make it till my next visit on the 26th to weigh. I'll be 3 months post op on the 25th. Hard to believe. I am being nosey here, I guess I missed the boat. Whats this about Katie?? Is someone mistreating my Katie bug??? Shes an inspiration to many of us! And you're darn tootin we need her here. Anyone who thinks otherwise, talk to me!! Love you guys! Melanie

Melanie, I don't think anyone said anything directly to Katie. She said that she felt like people were looking good way before she was. She said something about that she weighed alot more than anyone else when they started. I say pooey.....she's doing great. I only lost 1 lb this week. That's depressing. I really didn'****ch my protein too much so I'm gonna blame it on that and the fact that I was not able to go to Curves while I was in NY. Now that I'm back I'm gonna go with gang busters. I hope your pl....goes away Melanie. Keep us posted. Anne

Anne, Good to see you are back and sorry to hear about your relative. I know what you mean about the plataeu. I have been hovering around the same thing for the last two weeks and when I hear of others that have lost so much by this point I really get discouraged but I am thinking I need to do like Melanie and put my scales away and try not to focus on the numbers but remember this is about my health and not about numbers. I went to the support meeting Wed. night and found it very inspirational. Lot of successful people out there and I know that you and I will be one them also. Rita

Thanks Rita, I had planned on attending the support group meeting but alas....was called away. Hopefully next month I'll be able to make it. I am trying to do some overtime so that I can get the credit cards paid off that I already cut up. I have four of them not one has a balance over 400 so it shouldn't be too bad.
