Julie Gray"s surgery update
Hey again everybody,
Sorry I didn't get to post anymore yesterday. I had a busy day and fell asleep between that and the medicine I am taking for my foot. I talked to Julie late last night and she was walking the halls. They moved her to a regular room late yesterday afternoon. She is still hurting but doing ok. I told her you all were asking about her and told her hello from you also. I talked to here again around 6:30 this evening, she had a nurse that wasn't very cooperative. Julie told her the Morphine wasn't helping and the nurse won't get her anything different. I told her to tell her nurse to page her doctor and tell her she was in pain and the morphine wasn't helping. If that didn't work I told her to tell her mom to page the doctor herself. I told Julie she was the patient and that nurse was there to help her. How the heck did she know how bad Julie's pain was! I am going to try to see her a few minutes tonight. I will try to post again after that, if not it will be in the am. Talk to you all then. Nicky

Hi Nicky, thank you for the update. What did u do to your foot? Please let Julie know I am praying for her and hope to join her on the loser bench. Also, if the nurse won't help her, have her contact the nurse supervisor. Between her mom and the nurse supervisor, the Dr. will be contacted. Morphine and Demoral pumps don't work for me. Found that out last Sept. when I fell and fractured my hip and pelvic. So tell Julie, to get the help she needs. There is no sense in a nurse acting that way. She's there to help patients not the other way around. Many a times I have had to file a complaint with the nurse supervisor and got results. Sending my prayers, and a hug. Hope she feels better soon. Kathy
