I have an Angel
Dixie Flower has accepted the roll of my Angel. Hopefully, she can start doing her angel duties before the end of September. I found out that after I turn my packet in, I will get my pre-op appointment, and a date all in one day, I will also be doing pre-op lab work. That will be the only appointment I will have with this Dr. in Franklin, TN. He gets the insurance approval before seeing the patient. I have all my Dr. letters, lab work, support group, nutrionist, but I will also see his the same day, so that one day will be very busy. The only thing I need to do is attend his seminar in Sept. Write my letter for the insurance, and submit at least 4 letters from family and /or friends requesting that they allow me the surgery for a healthier life. Now just waiting for next month. When his nurse called me earlier, my heart just about dropped when she told me this. I've never even been to his office, but she calls and emails me at least 2-3 times aweek. They are planning on doing every possible thing ahead of time before I meet with them, so that anything that needs to be done will be done that day. Meaning they are even sending me the packet to fill out prior to the seminar on Sept. 20, so that he can review it and send it to the insurance. It's like a dream come true.

Kathy, darlin, what wonderful news for you!!! I'm so happy you finally found a surgeon. Sounds like a lot of work for you to do with all the letters and such. I know you can handle it. You're such a tough cookie. The power of prayer, huh? I'm so tickled I could do a flip lol. Its great that the office is calling and emailing you like that. Sounds like a fantastic group. CONGRATULATIONS Kathy! I know how hard this whole thing has been for you to finalllllly get here and I could not be happier for you! I hope everything continues to go smoothly and quickly for you! Let me know when you get your date and maybe I can come see you in the hospital! And then when you are all better and feeling up to it we will 
to celebrate!

I want to thank each of you for your responses and support. I don't know yet if I will get this Dr. but the way things are going, I'm pretty sure he will be doing the surgery. I have been in contact with his nurse Pam who is also the surgical coordinator. She calls 2-3 times a week, I should be receiving the packet either today or by Monday. She called this afternoon to let me know it has been mailed. When I send it back, I'm to include the front and back on my insurance cards, a copy of my DL, and all papers from the Dr.'s. I can't wait for it all to be done and ready for surgery. When I see Dr. Oxley, I will be doing pre-op lab work and getting a date. I see the seminar on Sept. 20, and the nutrionist on the 22nd.
I just hope that either I have the surgery first, so I will be pretty well on the road to recovery before the holidays, or that my new grandchild is born first. Either way it will all be happening about the same time. I think I want my grandchild born first. I want to be able to hold the little bundle. I want to be able to go to the hospital when Silvia and Phillip are having their new one. Can't do that if I'm in the hospital at the same time.
