I did the hearing in front of the judge this afternoon. I couldn't really tell how it went. I am crossing my fingers all went well. I won't know anything until after August 24th. The doctor I felt was not totally trained in this and didn't really know what he was talking about. Cross your fingers for me !!!

Laura has tncare if Im not mistaken. They denied her request for surgery so she appealed they then denied her appeal. So the next step in the TNcare process is to go before an admistrative judge and he determines if Tncare was right to deny the appeal.

I am appealing them turning me down. This is the only way they that I could. After the judge renders her verdict. If they deny me once again I will keep appealing. Right now I am over 200 pounds and only 5'0 and I feel like a weeble wobble. I have gotten I understand and we go on another diet and I'll do it with you. I really don't think people who aren't over weight understand. I really don't think the doctor that they had in the court room really tottaly understood. In my opinion you must treat the main problem which is my obesity and it will help the other problems I have like asthma..

Laura at this point I really would suggest you find an atty to help you. once you get in the TN care system in front of ALJ(who are all Atty's) TN care itself will also be represented by one of thier own attorneys, it will be more difficult to make them see the light. one good thing from my experience with the ALJ''s is that they are almost all very liberal and will try to do the right thing, the problem is they just won't be well versed in weight mangement or weight loss surgery. it will be up to you to educate them.
