Another Dr. bites the dust.

Hi everyone. Well number 4 Dr. is out of the running. He was given to me by TNcare case manager. Dr. Bowie of Elizabethton fields his patients to Dr. Scot****son. Of he denied me before every meeting. So I am going to make bus travel arrangements to go to Franklin and see this Dr. Oxley. So if anyone has any information about him, I would sure appreciate it. Still hanging in there. Love Kathy

Hi Kathy, i am so sorry that all these drs are not working out for you.I did go to DR OXLEY seminar but i don't know much about what they require,b/c i am not going to him as you know i want the lap band.I have talked to a DR Madan in memphis and they are going to try to work out something with tenncare.So i am just waiting again.I sure hope if they get the approveal that i don't have to do all the pre testing stuff again.Good luck to you hon i will be praying that this dr is right one for you.Please let me know when you find out something ok your oh friend God bless Eva

Good Luck, Kathy! I actually mentioned you to Dr. Hruska! She said since your in a wheel chair and couldn't walk - It will be a problem, even if you were to go to her. Talk about sucky. I guess you call that catch 22 - One thing leads to another! Have you ever tried Weigh****chers? I actually lost 120 pounds on the diet a year before I had the surgery.... Just a suggestion. -Katie

i went to dr oxley and he did my wls he is good. he did my wls on the 15th of july and i have done great. he is a very caring dr. his nurse pam davis who has also had the wls 2yrs.ago is great too. i would let him do it again. i hope you see him and think the same. neda
