Blount County Memorial

Blonunt County memorial is no longer accepting TN Care. I completed all of my tests to find out they can't do the surgery now!1 Does anyone know how to reach Dr Willie Melvin at Vanderbuilt in Tn or another Dr in the TN Care Network? I am really stressing this morning!!!! Please Help, Kristy

Hey Kristy! I'm in the same boat. They called me last week to cancel everything. Which Tenncare do you have? Most people have told me to get a case manager and they will find you a doctor and take care of your paperwork. My PCP told me to call every doctor until I found one that takes my insurance. Good Luck! You are not the only one steaming at Blount Memorial.

I used Dr. Boyce here in Knoxville, and I have PHP Tenncare. Not sure what type of Tenncare you have, but you can call Dr. B's office and ask if they accept it!

Hi Kristy, Sorry you've had such a rough go of it lately. Just wanted to let you know that Dr. Ray Villanueva does RNY and accepts TNcare. I'm not sure which plans he accepts, but if you'll e-mail me I can hook you up with him. He is located in Swee****er and operates at Swee****er Hospital. (That's also where I work and where he will be doing my RNY next Thursday. ) Hope that's of some help, Jerri
