Sooooo Frustrated!!!!!!!

I have just been informed from Dr. Colquitt's office that even though the doctors take my insurance, the hospital is not. They said they are negoiating with Tenncare but they have no idea when the deal will be final, could be as long as next year. My first consult was scheduled for Monday. Now I have to find a new surgeon that takes PHP Tenncare. If anyone has ANY suggestions, or knows of a surgeon that takes PHP/Tenncare, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm so disappointed. Now I have start all over again.

**BIG HUGS** I've gone through this same thing and it took me over a YEAR to get back on the track and find a doctor! I'm so glad your not letting this stop you! However, I know clarksville is pretty far from you but Dr. Hruska in Clarksville, Tennessee - accept TennCare. She's an amazing women. I love her. I really really do! Her staff is wonderful, especially her nurse Judy. If you need some information to contact her - E-mail me and I'll send her business card to you! Thanks Katie! I would like her number so I could give her a call. My PCP told me to call every doctor I could find until I could find one. I already have my letter and he'll help me in any way he can. I don't care how far I have to go, I'm just ready for this to happen.

As Ive said before Case Management is the best way to go when dealing with tncare MCO's. They do the footwork for you. Which is rather easier for them since they know of what surgeons are in network. I absolutely loved my case manager and she finally closed my case this month. Its been almost a yr since I got her and she went from finding me a surgeon, to approving my cpap renewals, to checking up on me after I had been admitted to the hospital after I had already had my surgery. They follow you through and since Ive been recovering fine she was finally able to close my case however she told me if anything and she means anything RNY related comes up for me to call her and she would reopen the case so I can be sure to get the mdeical I need to get.

Hi, I checked out Dr. Boyce. He doesn't take Medicare, but will take blue care on TN. The blue care waiting list is 250. He takes private and other forms of insurance over tn blue care, or medicare. Good luck. kathy

Hiya Steph! How disappointing for you. I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Too bad Dr. Colquitt doesnt have privilages at more than one hospital. I'm not familiar with PHP Tenncare, all of our patients were on Tenncare Select. I agree that you should call Tenncare and get them on board with you, make them do all the work. I know its hard but try not to let it discourage you. Things will work out for you hon. God bless! Melanie
