~*Roll Call*~
Sorry I missed Roll Call this morning but I am not able to get on here at work sometimes.
My weekend was fine. I got upset this morning when I found out my doctor's office mailed my info to insurance instead of faxing it. She told me she faxed it and last Monday. I found out today she mailed it last Thursday. I know that is what happens most of the time but I had my hopes up thinking she faxed it and earlier than she did and I had been calling my insurance all last week hounding them to see if they received it yet. This waiting on insurance thing is going to get me because I have very little patience for this kind of stuff lol. I want so bad to have the surgery. Anyways, you said it was 4 months for you how much have you lost so far.
Take care everyone and hope your week is great.

Woo hoo my weekend has been ok. Also as far as the losing boobage thing that depends on the person and how they gained weight. The usual rule of thumb is whatever cup size you were before you were excessively overweight is the size you will end up being. Before I gained a lot of weight I was a C cup and then at my highest weight I was a B cup. Evidently when I gained weight I gained around below my boobs not in my boobs. Now that Ive lost 70 lbs from the day of surgery and 100 from my highest I am now back into a C cup. My mom told me the other day that Im finally getting a bustline and a butt (yeah I know gee thanks mom ) Also you all keep me in your prayers I had an abnormal pap last month and I have to go in for them to do a biopsy it has me sooooooo freaked. *huggles*
Hey Dixie, you have my full understanding on the abnormal pap issue.
Is this the first abnormal that you have had? If so, it can be a frightening thing--well, it is frightning even if it is not a first occurence.
I had my first abnormal 8 years ago, had the colposcopy to do the biopsies and then had C02 Laser Ablation surgery to destroy the abnormal cells. Everything was fine after that until this year and it is back!
Not quiet as high of a level of abnormality as the first time, but I have
had the biopsies again and based on them, my gynecologist has made the decision that I will not have to rush into a surgical situation at this time.
I will be having repeat paps every four months and if the situation persist for two years, he will do surgery at that time. If it gets worse during that time, he will go ahead with surgery and there is also about a 50% chance that this may heal itself and not reqire any futher treatment other than the repeat paps. While we never look forward to paps, I must say that it is favorable to having the surgery again. Having said that, I will also say that the surgery was basically painless and there was no pain after surgery. Just some inconvenience with bleeding and discharge during the healing process. My point is...don't stress over this. It will all be ok.
My gynecologist says that from the beginning of abnormal cells until it develops into full blown cancer is approximately 10 years---so just keep a close eye on it and take care. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about the colposcopy procedure to obtain the biopsies or about the surgery.
Yes it is my first abnormal. I guess what really got me freaking about it is when they told me I was going to have to go in for a biopsy. My baby sis had an abnormal a few yrs ago and they just prescribed meds no biopsy. After doing some research I now know why it was that way I didn't realize there were so many different types of abnormalites dealing with paps. Another thing is I regularly see a CNM well she can't do the colopsopy (sp) or the biopsy I have to go to the dr that supervises her someone I have never in my life even met. Ive gone for a annual every yr since I was 15 and this was the first occurance and the strange thing is when I left the office the day of my annual I told my mom then "something is gonna be wrong this time" she just looked at me and told me I worry too much then a cpl weeks later I got "the call". Oh well such is life. *huggles*
Hey Dixie,
You will be fine. It is a frightful experience to get that call.
When I got my call in May of this year, my phone rang at
8:30 on a Sunday night. When I saw the doctor's name/number
on my caller ID, I knew exactly why he was calling.
My gynecologist is a wonderful and caring man--and he spent
time explaining everything to me, told me needed to be done
and then ask me if I were ok or if I needed to talk more.
If you were in Huntsville, I would recommend him to you....
but you are a ways away. I am sure you will get great care.
Just trust the gynecologist and be sure to follow up as they
recommend.
(I sent you some more detailed info in e-mail)
