update on me

i am attending a seminar at east ridge hospital in chattanooga on aug.11th so i will see how things go from there call tenn care to get case manger and they told me i didnt need one so i am going to cal back in a few days and try again maybe the dr from this seminar can get my medical records from her 4 me and send to tenn care to try to get approval keep ur fingers crossed 4 me wish me the best hugs kristie

Kristie , Wow I did not know Eastridge accepted Tn care. Good Luck with the process. there is a pschy. in Dandridge Tn that accepts Tn care for the eval. I can get his name if you are interested in driving that far. I did 1 week after knee surgery. I am determined to have this surgery before December. If your PCP will help you can get all of your records sent to your PCP. Hope this helps, Good Luck Kristy

Hi kristi and Kristy, I went to a Dr. Adlen in Danridge for a psych eval. You have to have your surgeon send him a consult and yes he accepts tncare. But he's in the office totally by himself, no one works in the outer room, I felt a little uncomfortable being in his office the door shut and no one else in the building. A little unnerving. But I have found that these psychs that do the eval. are the only people in the office. But I did like him. So I would say get a referral from your surgeon and Dr. Adlen can get you taken care of. There is another one in Maryville outside of Knoxville. His name is Dr. David Bender 865-984-7567. Address: 422 E. Church Ave. Maryville, that may be closer to you then Danridge. He's also in practice all by himself. We have talked a couple of times and he seems very nice. Because of the driving problem, me and a wheelchair, he is going to send out a packet with test for me to do at home, then once he gets the consult from the surgeon I see on Monday, I will be given an appointment and I won't have to come back a second time. When you call him, it rings to his pager, and he will call you back as soon as he can. Best of luck to you, and he accepts insurance too. As I have medicare/blue care. I went to seminar done there, only to find out that TennCare patients go on a waiting list - Last I heard I was on the waiting list for 2005! I should e-mail and find out! LOL! Good Luck!
