Dr. Letters

Hey, today has been very productive if I say so myself. I managed to contact all my Dr.'s that have been treating me, they are going to fax a letter of referral to Dr. Digby. They will also put in their letters that it is medically necessary that I have the surgery, and how the surgery will improve my health. Medicare does not pay for obesity surgery unless you have letters from Dr.'s and you have other health issues caused by obesity. So hopefully, when I see him next Monday, he will have received my letters. They are also going to fax the same letters to the Huntington, WV Veterans hospital. I contacted a Dr. David Bender, for a psych eval, he's in Maryville if anyone is interested. I'm to call Digby's office tomorrow and have a packet sent to Dr. Bender of what he is looking for in my evaluation. Dr. Bender is also sending me a packet including his test to do at home, so when I see him everything will be done but the interview. That way I won't have to make a second trip and he accepts my insurance. Time to rest the ole brain. I am either having a muscle spasm or a pinched nerve. Started last night, and worse today. But that didn't stop me from making some head way. Even managed to update all my info with medic Alert. they advise everyone who is post-op to get registered. I wish right now I could dance for joy, I feel like everything is coming up roses. a little jig . y'all Kathy

Thanks Kelly, the Dr.s office just called, my PCP had me taking one muscle relaxer at bedtime because of my legs, now he wants me to take a 10 mg every 12 hours. I don't think that will be strong enough to help. But he's the dr. and what he says goes. I appreciate each and everyone of you on this board. Kathy
