3 months post-op

3 months post op and have lost 75 lbs and feeling great.I only pray anyone who has this surgery will be as blessed as i am,I have not felt this good in years.Good luck to everyone and may God be with u all. Thanks Sherry

I am so excited.. my daughter who is 13 just got a little black dress thats a size 10.. its to big for her right now.. but i told her next year I was going to be wearing that dress.. Hi Sherry, I called Dr. Digby today, I see him on Monday afternoon around 1pm. Blue Care transportation has put out contracts to who ever is the lowest billing will get the honor of escorting me to Elizabethton. What's he really like? Thanks for the referral. After I see him, or rather before, like tomorrow I am going to have all my Dr.'s write a referral letter so that I will have those ready when I find the Dr. for me. Does he do lap and open or just one or the other only? Love ya, Kathy

I have called Dr. Digby's office to get his fax number. Then called my Dr.s to fax over what tests they have done, plus their letter of referral that this is medically necessary. Medicare just told me that they do not cover obesity surgery by it self. I don't need a pre cert with them, the Dr. just has to submit the paper work that the surgery is medically necessary. That I do have hypothyroidism, sleep apnea severe, and other medical problems that the surgery would eliminate. Now I will call Blue care in the morning to find out about them and have them send me the information whether they cover any or all of this. chat with you later. Hi Sherry, guess what? I contacted all my Dr.'s that have been healing me, and they are all going to send in a letter of referral, and that the surgery is necessary due to several health problems. They will write it that by having the surgery, it will improve my health. They will fax them to Dr. Digby's office. I contacted Dr. Bender, psych in Maryville. He wants the Dr. to send him the packet of what the Dr. is looking for in the evaluation. Dr. Bender will send me a packet to fill out and a test that I can do at home, then when I see him, we'll talk and this will save me from having to come back a second appointment. Hi Sherry, just keeping you informed. Dr. Digby's office has been in contact with me, and I have called them on several issues. I have found that they are very friendly and seem to care. When I went to see Dr. Hodge in Johnson City, I found the staff didn't seem to care about the patient. I am so looking forward to seeing him on Monday afternoon. I'll keep you posted. you were lucky to have one available in your city. Hopefully, if he does the surgery, I'll get to meet you while I am there. Thanks again. Kathy
