Roll Call 7/13/04
I want to here from ALL you Tennessee guys and gals! Please post and say hello and where you are on your journey! My WLS date is 7/21 and I am really on a rollcoster ride!! I am so happy and then I am so bumed out and sad and then I get scared I just feel I need all the prayers I can get! I love you all and you have really helped me in every step of my process! Please everyone tell us where you are at in your journey! And Lord please help me to not talk crazy to the office ladies at Michelle's doctors office! I love you, Michelle! Good Luck to all ! Cherry
Hi Cherry!
You'll do fine, hon! Your emotions are pretty normal - Please do remember your about to make a huge decision on having this surgery, don't take it lightly or let anyone tell you too!
However, Where am I on my journey? - I was suppose to be at Dr. Hruska's today for a 3month check up but my mom is having some sort of allergic reaction to something, she woke up with a a rash on 90% of her body.. again! I do have a new appointment for July 22nd though! I'm excited!
Other then that - I'm getting ready to go back to school in the Fall! The paperwork is a killer to deal with but I'll get it finished in due time! I'm just SO nervous about returning - I'm hoping to take online classes rather then a bunch at the school! We shall see....
Hope everyone is having a good day!
Hugs,
Katie
Katie, Please if you have time come by and see me! I will be in Gateway Hospital on the 22nd. I would love to meet you! I really want to know how much weight you have lost! You know you are my WL hero Thanks for all the great advice I really need some of your good luck fairy dust(the purple kind) love, Cherry
Cherry!
What time is your surgery hon? I'll be at Dr. Hruska's @ 10:45 A.M! That either means she does your surgery before or after seeing me... Let me know, Okay?
My mom is driving but I'm gonna try my best to come and see you before hand.... I just need to know where I'll be able to find you or I can just ask Leigh Ann or Judy! LOL!

Hiya Cherry berry! Glad to hear from you! Your big day is almost here. Sweetness, that roller coaster you're referring to, we all ride it. Front seat. I was really a wreck the 24 hrs before surgery, but once i'd arrived at the hospital the morning of surgery, an incredible calm came over me and I wasnt afraid/worried any more. Things are going to be so wonderful for you. Keep your faith strong. I know our gracious Lord will carry you through an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery. You WILL do fine!!!
As for where I am, i'm 7 wks post op today and have lost 36 lbs. I rode my bicycle last night for a few minutes. Boy were those thunder thighs burning. I need more of that for sure. I feel like my loss is slow, but everyone here keeps reminding me that i'm a "lightweight" and we lose slower than the heavyweights. Plus Dr. Houston told me that 30 lbs at 6 wks was right on target so I guess I am.
Again, hon, you will be fine! You are and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted and keep that chin up! God bless you!!
