Hey Cherry...
The shake I got was a powder from Smoothie King called Spirutein... it is made in alot of different flavors.... I got Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl.. Double Fudge Krunch... blueberries and cream... peaches and cream... cheeries jubilees... they also have strawberry banana... cappacuno(sp) and reg chocolate...vanilla... and a few others... If you live in Nashville there is a smoothie king on Elliston.... And if you are a Bariatric Patient they give you a discount... the packets are usually 1.49 and they sell it to you for 1.28...
But the recipe they gave me thru the doctor is
16 oz Silk Soy Milk Vanilla- or Skim milk if you can tolerate
2 packets of Spirutein....
8 ozs of Egg Beaters......
Mix together in blender... This makes 5 6 oz servings
whole recipe provides:
520 calories... 64 grams of Protein, 1200mg calcium
each 6 oz serving provides: 104 Calories 13G Protein 9 G CHO, 6 G Sugar, and 240 mg calcium
you can half the recipe and only use one pack to try the different flavors and after you have fixed the recipe you can put one cup in the freezer to give you a different texture or what I like is putting ice in the mix after all measured out...
Well hope that helps you cherry....

Anne...
Go to smoothie King... Get the Spirutien.. they have different flavors... and I have had an easy time with them... The only thing that has made me sick is I made some chicken for the bf and thought well i will try some of the broth...man I felt like I was going to die...I think it was way to rich.. so I will stick to my bullion broth... I know I posted the recipe...
You may also be lactose intolerant so you would have to go with the soy milk which is not to bad if you get the vanilla flavor...
Much love and hugs
