Dawn Ask your Human resources office if they offer EAP employee assistance program. Well i mean your husbands employer. If they do they will know what you mean and give you a number to call. No big deal.. It is called E.A.P. we have it at my place but my eval was not covered. Michelle

Well, I spoke to hubby tonight when he got home and he said he does not believe they have it.. (EAP).. he said his insurance is not through his employer but through the union. so after the holidays I will call them and ask specifically about it. Thank You again! hugs and blessings to you all.. Dawn

Dr philp is not on my insurance list however I will call and see what they charge tomorrow.. I called since the day of this first post and have not reached cantor yet from jc.. only answering machine but being holidays I am waiting ever so not so patiently lol but trying . Donna, as far as second consult goes thats for dr hodges in Johnson city..first was to discuss the surgery and to inform the patient of the pros and cons etc and to evaluate you for youre personal canidacy for surgery or not.. they gave list of things for me to complete then after they're done, I call to schedule second consult where we put everything together for insurance and try that road for approval.. or so this is my understanding of the process anyways. Best of luck to you with your journey.. I have heard alot of great things about Dr doyce and If i'de had his program fees to pay up front, I would be using him without a doubt but due to money issues I had to go elsewhere. If you need anything get in touch with me ok.. Dawn Knoxville

Here i am again. some years ago the hubby and went to a marriage consultler. She is a phychologist. I though of going back to her, but the Dr. Alan Philp was recommended in the packet handed out in the seminar given by Dr.Boyces' office. I got to thinking about all I had read about getting turned down for this and that, so I thought, what the heck, I will go to him because if he has been working as part of that team, that just might be one slide greased. I was told, I think, that my insurance would pay for the program fee, but I am not sure of that (don't have it in writing) May have to pay it myself and get reibursed. I do know that I have been putting some back for something like this. I have a friend that did self pay for her surgery. They might have had insurance for their employees as they have a Bread and Breakfast Inn here in Gatlinburg. She might not have wanted to wait and jump through the hoops and they could afford it. I have seem prices up to $42,000 but hers was around $21,000 , paid cash. She said it was a bit more if the insurance company did it, like $28,000. Shows how much is tacked on for insurance and should not be. Surely there is not that MUCH paperwork. Donna
