Met Dr. Hruska

Do you know how many surgeries that Dr. Hruska has done? Does she have any fatalities? I am just wondering. I go to her on July 20th. lisa

Hi Lisa! When you meet Dr. Hruska that would be a perfect question for her because I honestly don't know the answer. The last I heard she's done over 200 patients and hasn't had a death! But again, I'd ask her or her nurse - They'll answer ANYTHING! Heck, they want you to ask these kind of questinos. Good luck with your appointment and due keep us updated! -Katie

Katie, I also want to ask you a question. I am going to have a cpap like you do. Did you come home with a drain?? Please tell us when your follow up app. were like 2 weeks then _ months? Cherry... I had a 2 week check up after surgery - That is when Judy took my staples out.... Then I have my next appointment on July 13th! Which I can't wait! However, after this appointment - I'm not sure when the next one will be! I'll find out then and let you know! About the Drain - I didn't come home with one. All I came home with was 55 staples and a banding around my stomach, which I didn't even wear once I got home. I ended up getting really bad blisters from the bandages, I'm a redhead - So I have senstive skin - So my mom had bought me some sleevless t-shirts from K-Mart in a size 3X in funky bright colors then I wore them over my nightgown to protect my staple line. I'm also a very werid patient - I only took the pain meds one time when I got home and it really was just out of force from my mom because she didn't want me to wake up in any sort of pain. I can see her point but I never took the meds again. We poured 2 bottle of meds down the drain the other day.

Hi Julie I'm getting nervous also. I try to read profiles & look at all the before & after pics. It helps me to remember the good stuff that will come from this. When I get to hurting real bad, I think-- Oh Yeah that's gonna get better isn't it. Less pain will be the best thing about having it done. Being able to live again!! I'm keeping you and all our other board members in my prayers. Board Members that sounds funny, Katie since your our teacher I think we should let you be pres. of the board & who shoud we elect to be VP About the 10# loss my doc didn't ask me to, but I would kinda like to. I think I'm gonna try to start drinking more water & cut down on my carbs till WLS. But I will have my last supper 2days before my WLS. May go to Flordia Seafood Kitchen on Lebanon Rd. in South Nashville. Fried Oysters to die for. yum yum Anyway like I said before Give it to God & let it go.
