Well, after getting some VERY good advice (THANKS WILLIAM) I decided to call my doctors office and see if I was free to make the choice when It comes to who I see for my psych evaluation. She said I needed to speak directly to the Doctor to see if I am able to make that choice. I'm going to postpone the appt I have with the shrin****il I've heard from Dr. Dyers office...I'll keep ya posted and THANKS everyone for the great advice...Hugs, Carol

Hi Carol, Dr Dyer, Oleson and Houston like for you to use the Evelyn Frye Center off Church Street. Even though it is an out of pocket expense of 295.00, there supposed to provide all the "right information" needed by the insurance companies. It took me about 3 hours, and was fairly painless. I asked Dr Houston if I could stray off the beaten path.... but he said I needed to use Evelyn Frye Center. It took me about 2 weeks to get an appointment..... Richard Meeks RNY 6/7/04

Hey Richard, is this Evelyn Frye Center for a psych eval? Why would it cost $295 out of pocket expense if you have insurance and that's a mental appointment? Yes I'm blond, but confussed. LOL Kathy Newton PS: it's been a day of frustration and aggrivation.

Thanks for the kudos, Carol. I'm really glad you called as I would have hated to see you have to jump through more hoops. It's natural to be ansy and want to get things done ... trust me I spent a year fighting an insurance company and totally understand how bad waiting can be. Hang in there, that ball will get to rolling ... Let us know how things are going ...
