Nervous
Ok....I'm getting nervous here. Time is flying. Tonight is my last night to wor****il August and I only have the weekend before my surgery. I'm gonna clean and pack on Friday and then try to stay out of the house on Saturday and Sunday so that I'm not tempted to eat anything. I have to do clear liquids from Friday night at midnight until Sunday night at midnight. I guess I'm just getting a little nervous about all of this.
Anne
Anne,
That's natural and staying busy is a good thing to do this weekend. The clear liquids are not too bad, especially if only for a couple of days. Just have some broth, SF "water based not fruit juice" popsicles (if allowed by your surgeon" and drink lots of water, crystal light or SF kool-aid.
Just think about how long it took to get to this point ...
Best of luck, Anne. Hope you have surgery with no complications and a speedy recovery!
Anne, Trust me, I know how you feel, I was feeling the same way several weeks ago, but staying busy is the best thing to do. I only had to do clear liquids for 24 hours but that was not bad. From this point on you will go through every emotion there is to have and you will doubt yourself. Just remember you researched this, thought this through with a clear head and you know it is the right thing for you. My last thought in surgery was doubting myself and my first thought when I woke up was doubt but within 24 hours those doubts went away so I say that to say this, it is normal to be nervous but I know you will be fine. You are in my thoughts. Rita
Hiya Anne! I'm so happy for you, your rebirthday is almost here! The sea of emotions you're experiencing is very normal and we've all been there. I felt like a nut case the entire week before surgery. Some how the morning of surgery.... calm. I wasnt afraid going in. That was the Lord. I did fine, and so will you. We're getting the move done this afternoon, rain and all. We have no internet service at the new house yet so after today who knows when i'll be back, but please please know i'm thinking of you and praying for you. I know you're in the good Lords hands and everything is going to be alright. God bless sweetheart! See you on the losers bench! Love N laughter,
Melanie
Hey, Anne,
I was just like you in the nerves department three weekends ago - can't believe how fast it's gone. What you are feeling is beyond normal. Just keep yourself really busy. You may even want to journal as Monday gets near - all your thoughts and feelings - helped me tons.
Let me know if you need anything at all!!
Hugs,
