Recovery Question

I had open RNY in March I had a drain while in the hospital but it was removed before I left. Whether or not you go home with a drain(s) will depend on your doctor and how you are healing. They will check and empty the drain constantly while you are in the hospital. On my discharge day the drain fluid was clear and there was barely anything in it so they decided to go ahead and just remove it. Hope this helps.
