psychological assessment

Can someone please recommend a/some psychologist in the memphis area? Kesha

Hi Kesha, I would recommend Dr J. Ivey Bright. I just had my evaluation done this past Wednesday. The office staff is super nice and so is Dr. Bright. I flet very comfortable with him and I can't say that for most people I meet. They only do psyc evaluations for the surgery and for neuro patients. This means they are quick to get you in. It took less than a week for me. Cigna should pay...my co pay was only 40.00. The test you take is repeating it's self, just switching the wording. You get a copy of the letter that goes to your doctor and insurance company. It only took 2 days to get mine in the mail. I passed and am compentent...good to know...lol! He did tell me I need to get help for my depression from a specialist and not just my intern. Hope this doesn't hold me back. He said it depends on my doctor. Good luck and I hope he helps! why would you have to schedule your own psych? I thought it was part of your surgeons requirement and they scheduled it for you. or at least that how mine has been handled.

Don't know maybe it's the difference in doctors. Mine gave me a list and told be to double check with insurance. Really no big deal. I'd rather pick my own. Tammy
