I AM WANTING TO HAVE THE GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY. THEY SAID I HAD TO HAVE SOME DOCUMENTATION OF THE PREVIOUS WEIGHT LOSS AND DIET PROGRAMS. MY PROBLEM IS THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY. MOST OF MY DIETS HAVE BEEN TRYING TO DO IT ON MY OWN. MY INSURER IS BLUECARE OF TN. IS THIS REALLY A BIG ISSUE OR DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS BEFORE YOU WILL BE APPROVED FOR THIS.

Kathryn....I also have BlueCare and all I had to do is give my pcp a list of diet attempts. All I would do is right down all the diets you have been on, when you were on them and how much u lost. I didn't have any problems getting approved. I hope this helps. Tammy
