surgery date

Hi, all. I finally have a surgery date. It's Nov 24th. I would be really excited, but my mother in law is sick with cancer & going down hill every day. I'm afraid to get my hopes up about the surgery date because I'm afraid something will happen to her before then. ( I don't mean that in a selfish way.) I'm sure most of you can relate to the long process & the struggles you have before you finally get an actual surgery date. I've been on my surgeon's waiting list for over a year & I'm told I was lucky to get in when I did.
