HUGE ANESTHESIA BILL!!!
I HAD MY SURGERY IN JULY AND I THOUGHT THE NIGHTMARE WAS OVER. TODAY I GET A BILL FROM CIGNA FOR ALMOST $3,000 FOR MY ANESTHESIA AND IT SAYS ON THERE THAT THEY WON'T PROCESS THE CLAIM WITHOUT A LETTER OF MEDICAL NECESSITY.
WHAT IS THIS CRAP? I'VE ALREADY HAD THE SURGERY. WASN'T THE ANESTHESIA MEDICALLY NECESSARY??
I HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO GO THRU THE SAME STUFF I DID BEFORE THE SURGERY TRYING TO GET IT APPROVED.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE ON THIS MATTER? DO THEY WANT A LETTER FROM ME OR DR. HUSTED (MY SURGEON)? HAS ANYONE HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE? WHAT DID IT TAKE TO GET THEM TO PROCESS THE CLAIM (I.E. DO THEY WANT SOME "EXACT WORDING")?
THANKS
