13 months to Normal BMI - Woohoo! (with pics)
Hey, guys... I know I rarely post anymore... I just wanted to give you an update. I'm 13 months out and have gone from 307lbs to 168.4lbs and a BMI of 45.5 to a BMI of 24.9. I'm at a normal BMI as of today! Woohoo!!!
I plan to have plastic surgery in about 6-8 months and have begun the consultations. I'll have my arms, thighs, and breasts done... maybe a tummy tuck... but the tummy is not looking too bad.
Everything is still going great post-surgery and I'm thrilled that I made the decision to get it done! Good luck to all of you going through the process for your WLS! It's a life-changer!!!

I am so proud of you!
You have done an absolutely fabulous job and it shows. I don't know if I would recognize you if we passed on the street.
We need to have a Lunch Bunch Reunion.

I'm sorry it took so long to respond... I only check in once or twice a month now.
I'm 39 as of May this year. I have loose skin on my arms and thighs and the breasts are pretty well deflated. So I won't wear shorts or short-sleeved/sleeveless shirts. I work out at the gym, but NO amount of work at the gym is going to get rid of my excess skin - be it cardio or strength training. I have consulted with Dr. Shack for plastic surgery at Vanderbilt. I was very happy with the meeting I had with him and I am leaning in that direction for surgery. However, I will interview at least two more surgeons before I make a decision. I don't plan to have surgery until March/April next year, so I'm putting off any more consults until the fall.
