UPDATE
Let me do a quick run through
Dec 2nd got the Sleeve at Vandy from Dr Williams and Staff it went well. I was in Recovery Ward till 10 p.m. because of no bed available but they were nice and you have Nurses and Doctors within Arms Reach. No Bed Was still available so they brought in a Bed and kept me in the Recovery Ward and I probably received better care there then if I would have gone to a Private room.
Dec 3rd. Was sore able to drink and get up and walk took painkillers and slept alot was released around 2 p.m. and drove home which was about a 25 minute drive and handled it well
Dec 4th. Sore tired groggy no major naseu no vomitting just recovering and starting to feel Human again . Sipping lots of Water and some protien drinks and broth. I do best if I sit up a little most times if I lay to flat I get a reflux feeling. ( the liquid Loratab pain killer is Nasty stuff to taste but it does the job.
Dec 5th. This day was great had no problem drinking and walking to get rid of Gas.
Dec 6th. Not quite as good today may have over did it yesterday finnaly had a BM I was starting to Worry. Taking my time recovering had some water, protein drinks, some Jello and some soup.
Dec 7th. Diarhia in the late morning big time not worried about constipation at all know. Trying to get in my recommended water and full liquids going tommorrow for my First follow up.
Thanks
Gene

Congratulations, Gene! I've been off-line a little while, so I missed this post! I'm so happy for you. I hope you are continuing to have a great recovery! Do you plan to attend the Vanderbilt support groups? I try to make it to the monthly Thursday evening group toward the end of each month if I'm not out of town on business. The support group they hold during the week during the day isn't feasible for me. I hope to see you at the support group sometime, though, and see how great you are doing! Congrats, again!
