It is a dog eat dog world.....or is it?
I read this nugget of inspiration earlier today and it has really stirred my inner person. The statement started out by recalling a couple of phrases or cliches that I have heard a few times in my life. One being "It is a dog eat dog world", and "The early bird gets the worm." It is sad that we teach our offspring and our young that you must devour or defeat another for goals to be reached.
It may be that the opposite is true. I possibly spend my life fighting for something that I have had inside all along. Success and Serenity does not come at the expense of anothers loss or wounds. It comes when you love and care for others. I want to strive to be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
I hope everyone is doing well.. I am doing much better... I didn't realize that one of my New Year's resolutions was going to be "Stay Out Of The Hospital." Well they say third time is a charm so after stay #3 I should be good to go... LOL Thank you for all of your kind words and messages.
It has been so great to meet all the new people at Wednesday's Vanderbilt Support Group. We had a full house yesterday. You guys Rock.
Hi Marie,
It is so very good to see you.... I have missed you a great deal...
I can't wait to see you at support group tomorrow. The group meets at the Vanderbilt Surgical Center for Weight Loss at One Hundred Oaks. Enter in the entrance located next to TJ Maxx. Once inside ride up the escalator and then hang a left. Walk a bit a you will see the Surgical Center on the left. Check in at the reception area and let them know that you are there to attend the WLS support Group that meets in the Education Room. At that point they will assist you from there.
The support group commences at 1:30 and generally last around a hour to a hour and a half.
