Hospital Stay with VSG

I am planning to have a VSG with Dr. Houston. How long is the usual hospital stay?

Usually only 2-3 days

I had a VSG with Dr. H last July. He told me typically2 nights in hospital, but it you live more than 3hours away, he liked to keep you 3 (which I was). I actually stayed 4 nights, but only because the pain meds made me sick so I couldn't eat.

What is a VSG?
and while im at it What does DH stand for? I am assuming it has to do with husband.
