whats the typical wait time?

so once the time comes and your approved through the insurance, what is the usual wait time for the surgery? How far out do the surgeons usually book? Do you have to wait 2 weeks, a month or 2 months?

Just curious what the estimate wait time usually is?

I was approved for lapband surgery mid-December 2009 and had surgery on January 19th 2010.  I was shocked at how fast things progressed after receiving approval.

Right now, if you've already had your consult with the surgeon with the insurance approval process, once you're approved they can just schedule your preop class, pre-admission testing and surgery - usually within a month or so. If you've not had your consult with the surgeon, once approved they should be able to get you in for your consult within 2-4 weeks and surgery within 4-6 weeks of the consult.
