mford247 - Welcome to the TN board! I'm still fairly new here myself (Dec 2008). Keep checking in and you will see that there is a monthly Lunch Bunch in the Nashville area. Keep watch on this board for posting of date/time/place. I just went for my first time this month to the Lunch Bunch and met at least a dozen others in our shoes that were able to answer questions and give tips/hints/advice. I'm pre-op for VSG. There were post-op DS, VSG, RNY all present at the lunch that day. There may have been a lap-bander, too. Come out and join us next month! I'm sure everyone would love to meet you!

Ok.. I'll come out of lurkdom. I'm waiting on my consult with Dr. Houston (Friday-- its almost here!). I've been through the initial required weight loss (my insurance required me to lose 10%) and psych; so now I'm approved for RNY (insurance has a DS exclusion, and I'm not interested in the band). I've been learning lots from everyone's posts.
