Goodbye Diabetes!!! - XPost
My endocrinologist (diabetes doctor) dismissed me today!!!
I have been off my diabetes meds since Sept 12 (two days before surgery) & my A1c today was 6.0 (down an additional .2 since Dr. Houston checked it in December). Whoo Whooo!!!
Today I said my official goodbye to diabetes (although I know I will always have occasional finger sticks and annual A1c checks). My whole reason for having RNY has been fulfilled. I am so glad I made this decision.

I feel ya! I was on an inulin pump taing at least 120 units per day. I have not had one drop of insulin since the RNY surgery in Feb 200. A12C down to 5.3. My blood sugar ws 97 yesterday when I went to the Dr. Used to be over 250 when I woke up in the morning!
I feel so much better. Would I do it again..................YES! YES! YES!
