Upper Cumberland lunch for January???
I do like the soup this time of year, I've had to experiment a great deal with receipes, the can soup has too much sodium, and many receipes have too much of everything else..
The best modification I've made so far.. is kind of a chili...
I use low sodium tomato sauce, ground turkey, low sodium chili powder, great northern beans, green peppers and onions.
I brown the turkey with the peppers and onions, add the chili powder, tomato sauce and then the beans.
Cook it on low in the crock pot all day, when I get home I put a pinch of grated cheese on top and YUM!!
With temps in the teens, the chili warms your bones!!

As Ronda said, "You plan it & they will come." At least I will. Can't wait to see everyone. Hope you & Conner have a Happy New Year & keep warm. Looks like we will just get back to school in time for some snow days. Darn (HaHaHaHa) It is being told that another(additional) support group is being started soon. FYI

Hi Susan...
We had to work yesterday, but got out at 12:30, and then we had a two hour late day today.. THIS is the real reason I became a teacher, the snow days! (snicker) Make sure to wear your pj's wrong side out tomorrow night, I don't know if it works but that is what we always tell the kids when snow is predicted.
An additional support group in Cookeville area?? Wow.. who is doing it? Will you please let me know what you find out.
