insurance info

ijust had my surgery and my goo friend is ready to do something about her weight.  she does not if her insurance will cover it.    has anyone dealt with WALMART insurance.   i believe it is BCBSof AL but not sure what package she has. my insurance is BCBS of AL but thru a different company and a completely different package.   any help would be great

She can call the customer service number on her insurance card and ask if the surgery is covered. Tell her to make sure she asks if it is covered for "morbid obesity" as some policies have that specific language in the plan document.

She can also ask them exactly what the requirements are for her specific insurance plan.

She can also call one of the insurance specialists at Baptist Metabolic Surgery Center and ask if they have dealt with that specific plan before. They have a lot of information about different plans that do and do not cover surgery.
