Call Paula. Be prepared for a lecture but it will be delivered with love and compassion...and a swift kick! LOL

Pick up where you messed up and start again, you can do this. Stick to it, you will be so glad you did!

You want to do everything you can to shrink your liver. It's not so much about losing a certain amount of weight pre-op as it is shrinking the liver so they can perform the surgery safely. If they get in and don't feel they can safely complete the surgery laproscopically they will open you up and you want to avoid that if at all possible.

Dr Lynch was my surgen as well...

I hate to admit, but I also cheated on my preop diet.  Day three - huge IHOP meal (omlete, pancakes, and soda!!).

The thing that I took from that was, as Susan said, to pick up from where you fell and get back on it.  Just don't do it again!!

The whole goal is NOT to lose weight, but to shrink your liver.  Not because the Doctor wants to make your life living HELL, but for safety and a more successful surgery.

Good luck.

Michael.

I cheated on my diet.  the night before surgery I ate 2 rolos. Let me say that again.  Two PIECES, not packs, of Rolos! lol.    I thought I would never have them again, and it was the last thing I wanted to remember.

But, I have heard of surgeons *****fused to do surgery on folks who ate a hamburger the night before, or something big...

Get back on track, and know that you CAN do it!  We're here cheering for ya!

I haven't eaten candy in years. However, now that I'm trying my best to lose some weight this month before surgery, I broke down and bought a bag of Reese's  chocolate wrapped peanut butter things. It's just one bag, but I realize I'm a choco-peanut butter addict! I hate Halloween!
