DS support groups in East TN?
Terry,
I go to the Oak Ridge Support Group and I don't know of any DS'ers there; however, i would encourage you to visit the Parkwest Group; Jessica leads that one and since she is the Bariatric Coordinator, i bet there are some DS'ers there for sure!! i really like the Parkwest Group but i haven't been able to go the last few times its met.
How are you doing? Don't you just love Dr. B and his staff? You are in fine hands my friend!

Be happy.
We are in the process of starting a DS support group in middle TN. It is a little bit of a drive but it will be so worth it. I am not sure where we will be having it or what day of the week - but I do know that CMC has more than a handful of DSers in Cookeville so I antipate it to be somewhere between Nashville and Cookeville.

Although it's not a formal "support group", we have also started having lunch get togethers here in Cookeville. All surgery types are welcome. We usually get together on a Saturday, which may be easier for you to attend than the formal support group that meets the second Weds. at the Cookeville hospital. The DSers that attend would be happy to share hints and tips with you. Just keep checking the TN forum for announcements of the next luncheon.
