OMG...I dumped....holy cow!!! Graphic! I have no pride left!
I was a huge sweets person (hell still am, but know what I can have and the better choices that I make). Also a HUGE soda drinker as well.
I need that negative reinforcement to make sure that I continued to be successful.
I'm not afraid of "dumping", but it is always in the back of my mind anytime I try or eat something that I'm not 100% familar with. It MAKES me think about what I should and should not eat. I know that a bottle of water is always better than an unknown supposedly sugar free drink that does not have the nutritional information printed on the side of the container (no poke at the OP'er, as I may have been tempted as well!!).
I feel that I made an EXCELLENT choice and how it makes me very accountable for the choices of food or drink that I put in my mouth. Everyone had their own reasons for the choice of surgery that they had, and I give them a lot of credit!! NO WLS is easy contrary to what most people think!
Good luck.
Michael.
I stopped at Starbucks this morning after my 6:30 a.m. visit with the Chiropractor - courtesy of my car accident last month...
I ordered my usual...venti cappuccino, non fat, 3 Splenda. The Barista placed it on the bar and started reciting what it was. She got as far as "non fat" and paused, took a long look, and said " Oh, I made that wrong." She had put 3 RAW SUGAR instead of Splenda!!!!!
I told her I was glad she caught it because I would have been very sick and had no desire to start my morning off like that. Whew! Dodged that bullet!!
Now you know what it feels like to be slapped by the dump fairy...she's a mean one!
