I am starving!

I need help.   First I forgot to post and say I have a date for my surgery, September 9.   I started my two week liquid diet and i am starving.  Does this go away or will it be like this the whole two weeks?

I am excited about my surgery and i keep telling myself this is for the greater good.

Sports,

You will survive this.  Don't cheat.  Keep the protein going.  Have lots of Jello on hand.  It gives a feeling of something filling going in.

I had surgery Monday and have no desire for food at all.

Best wishes!

First few days are the worse, but you will get past it.

If you are following your doctor's orders with the liquid diet with protein drinks, your will not die because you are not getting enough fuel, it may just feel like, but it is all in your mind.  You will be fine.

Use those "free' things that they are allowing you - broth, sugar free jello, etc.  Drink lots of water or Crystal lite.

In my journey, this was the hardest part for me.

Stick with it, there is a reason that you are doing it, to shrink your liver to make it safer for your surgery.

Good luck.
Michael.

Remember you are doing this on sheer will power, without the benefit of surgery so don't beat your self up.  The broth is very good for headaches which usually show up day 4 or 5.  Sugar Free Popsicles got me through.  C'ya Bob

It all boils down to HOW BAD DO YOU WANT THIS!  I was hungry too.  It was llike I imagined someone would feel getting off crack!  It was detox from carbs and diet coke for me.  It was better after the first week, but the first week nearly killed me.  I still have trouble with hunber when I eat to many carbs.

Hang in there.  The reward will be great!  You can do this.   One day you will look back on it and be happy that you stuck to it and had the will power to put everything else aside.  Look twoard the end of your road....don't get bogged down with how you it feels to start the race!   Good luck

The first three days were the worse for me, but then it just seemed to settle itself down and become manageable!   Just keep it up and know that the payoff in the end will be well worth the struggles!

Thinking of you!

Thanks everyone..I have incorporated some of your tips, and I am feeling much better. I am more tired than normal, but at least I am not starving now.
