63 hours until I am due at the hospital!Excited! Scared!

Talked to another WLS patient last night and she was convinced that the sleeve was all I needed because she is doing so well with it.  I did not need that conversation at thispoint.

Anyway, see you in recovery, Nicole (MrsWinslow)!

Wish me well and calm my nerves!

Mary you will do great. If I know Dr. Houston he is not going to give you a really short cc. Mine is 125, and I am happy. The ds part of the surgery is mostly so will never gain your weight back. The sleeve is to lose now, and then the ds kicks in. Am I making any sense.
You already know this I am sure.  CONGRATULATIONS.

Thanks, Ronda!  I appreciate your support.  He asked me how much of a cc I wanted, and told him that I would leave it up to him.

When I get home, I will let everyone know how things went!

Mary -

The hours are dwindling down until you have to be in the hospital and time for your DS.  You are exactly 6 months after me (mine was (2/24/09).   As Ronda stated the DS portion is really used to keep the weight off, if restriction alone worked for you then the lapband would have been enough.  Clearly you require more than just restriction (just like Ronda , I and so many others) so the DS is the right choice for you.   Do you have someone on the board that will be giving us updates?  I hope so becuase you will be in my thoughts on Monday.  Here is to a quick easy DS and then a smooth and uneventful recovery.

Best wishes to you and Mrs. Winslow for smooth surgeries and uneventful recoveries.  No races to the nurses station when you do you daily walks, OK?
