I'm having trouble sleeping through the night since the surgery. I wake up with my legs figiting and can't go back to sleep. I had the DS done last Monday and I didn't have this problem before the surgery. I'm wondering if this is common? Any suggestions? I'm still on my clear liquid diet til Monday then on an all liquid diet for a week before any real food is introduced.Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Lisa, I had a lot of trouble sleeping with the Lortab liquid. It makes me hyper, it helps with pain, but I took it during the day and maybe you can find some Tylenol nighttime, I don't know if it comes in liquid form, but I think I heard John say something about finding some. I hope you get some sleep soon. You need to rest .

I bet your right Ronda. I don't remember having the problem when I was on the morphine at the hospital but I remember having it once they started me on the liquid lortab. Thanks for the advice!

Hey Lisa! Good to see you made it home o.k.  I enjoyed meeting you and your mom at the hospital. Sorry to hear about the restless leg stuff. Yesterday was my WORST day ever. I had gas move on me to my shoulder and it was awful. I have been so swollen after surgery and then that to happen , but by last night ,everything was better. I can't wait to go to stage 2!! Just wanted to say hi and hope your legs get better! ~shell

I had restless leg syndrome before RNY and it seems to be worse after surgery. My PCP still has me on Requip and it helps alot. But of course yours may just be something associated with your surgery just ask your doctor. Hope your better soon I know how irritating this can be.
