Update
Just thought I would stop by to give a quick update. Most of the time I spend on facebook nowadays when I get time to get on the Internet. Ron is back in UT Medical Center. He had to go back there about 1 1/2 weeks ago. He has had to be put on TPN. For those who don't know, that is an intravenous type of feeding. He is vomiting several times a day even though he is not eating and the doctors don't know why. He is on Vancomycin and the infections are greatly improving. The TPN is helping him to get stronger which is a big help but he isn't up to merathons yet, just getting from the bed to the chair. Hopefully, the docs can figure out the cause of the nausea and get it under control, get rid of the 4 drains soon and get him back to Pat Neal Rehab and then home. It has been a long 3 1/2 months. I am a little bit crazy by now. I saw my doc yesterday and doing fair. I have possibly torn my other rotator cuff but plan to ignore it for now. My labs look ok except that I am a little anemic. I have gained about 7 pounds through all this total, but have been doing much better with keeping it under control lately. If I could get more water in, I would do better, I think. I have been amazed at how a major life event can really throw one off, and the longer it goes on, the harder it gets. The doctor increased my antidepressant yesterday, Celexa, so we'll see how that works. I have no doubt that I needed it! I have spent the last 3 days crying!
I am trying to keep hope in the equation and not look at everything in a negative light. I know the Lord has a plan in all this, I just don't know what it is. Hope all of you are doing well!
