Okay I am approaching the end of my second day on liquid diet. Yesterday was okay till about 4pm and my body just got so tired I slept till 8pm. Then the upset stomach hit all night and has not stopped. I am drinking the 3 AES protien shakes a day and sipping cause it tastes like chalk to me.

Please guys I am really having a hard time, I want to eat so bad. I keep drinking water, crystal light and sugarfree popscicles. My husband is trying to be strong with me and doing liquids and vejatables. He is very supportive. I have to do this liquid diet for three weeks. Surgery is on August 24th. I seriously want to chew up a  slice of pizza and spit it out.

I am sorry to be so blunt but I am really having a hard time.. I have fasted before but this is really getting to me, maybe it is because I know this is it, and life as I know it will never be like it was.

Okay I think I am going to bed now.. TV is irritating me cause of all the food commercials. I was going to try to go to the gym but I can't stay out of the bathroom.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I'm just a preop but was wondering if you are getting in 60-80 grams of protein. I've heard that Increasing your protein helps with energy post op. Hope this helps. I wish I could just sleep through my clear liquid phase.

You guys hang in there!

Ms Winslow-- Can you do the Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast?  I couldn't tolerate all the milk, so I used acidophilus milk instead of regular and that DEFINITELY helped my need for the bathroom so much!  The next few weeks really will pass and soon you will be on the LOSER'S BENCH!  It is totally worth what you are going through now!  I promise!   Erika

Yeah that isn't on  my list. I do have yogurt I can eat every two hours but I can't seem to find the kind on their list. I am going to call them in the morning. Thanks for your encouragement~

It says no sugar added light yogurt... all the yogurt I can find is light but still contains sugar.

yogurt is a milk product. it will always have some sugar but these are natural sugars (lactose).  look for yogurts with sugars in the 4-9 range vs the 15- + range.    Kroger carb master is great.  We also do one of the weigh****chers ones and a breyers one.
