I just wanted to drop you guys a note to let you know, I apologize for being absent lately.  I've riden a roller coaster of emotions, and I think while I know things will be ok for my surgery, I let the devil have his turn at me,  as the pain has increased,  & my stamina decreased, I threw myself a pity party.

Things will be ok, I've got my list to keep my busy for the next few days, and I'm fighting mentally to stay focused and calm.

Please remember me in your prayers, and Ronda, my wonderful, patient friend is still going to be my angel.

I'll lurk the boards, and please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers, for you are each wonderful people and I hold your love and support near and dear to me.   I might not post much, but when all this is behind us...   the peppy Amy will be ready to challenge ya'll again, and myself too!!!

Love and HUGS!
Amy

You know that you and Connor are surrounded by prayers now and for the coming weeks. I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

My daughter had kidney surgery several years ago - she had a third, dead kidney removed. The recovery takes time so accept whatever help is offered so you can devote your energy to healing and being an emotional support for Connor. Let family and friends take care of the physical needs of both of you. The most important thing he is going to need from you is plain old "mommy" time; cuddle, watch tv or read together.

Oh, and take your pain meds on schedule. There are no medals given for bearing up under pain. You will heal better if your pain is controlled.
