Vanderbilt Support Group
Yesterday Kenny & Missy held their third support group meeting at Vanderbilt.
Let's see how would I describe it?
Interesting, Informative, Educational, Fun and even delicious!
Yep delicious Missy brought all the goody's to assemble (I say assemble because she did all the hard work preparing) Chocolate Crepes with Orange Mousse with fresh berries! Darn Good!
It was interesting because Kenny and Missy had prepared a series of topics that we all could discuss. Interesting how each of us answered these questions.
Socially fantastic as it always is to put a face with the person.
Yea even you Denise! I thought she was a goof ball and that might be a under statement. She had everyone cracking up with her band fill story.
If laughter is the best medicine well Denise could heal all of Nashville!! Anyhow for those that attended we had a great time, for those that didn't make it I would encourage you to attend next month. Kenny & Missy great job and thanks.

I'm glad you liked them. Missy used one last night for dinner and the old fat Kenny was ready to email everyone and tell them that those tomatoes were bad and I'd come pick them up from ya, not that I could eat all them 
Thanks for the crystal light samples too, I really do like that raspberry peach flavor, and don't go buying it all up Bob.

It took all my self control to not grab that pastry bag of mousse filling and just swig it down! YUM!
That group gets more and more fun each time it meets! And Bob, you're tooooo funny! I can't believe I said "sphincter," at one point.
Or that you started to discuss your feminine problems! HA!
Losing weight is helping me come out of my shell and a side effect of surgery is that I'm getting even funnier! (or so I think! Everyone else is probably screaming would you just shut up in their heads at me!)
Yeah--goof ball is definitely and understatement. But maybe I could go on the Bariatric Surgery Weight Loss Comedy Tour! If you're laughing so hard that coke is coming out your nose, then you didn't listen to your nutritionist--YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DRINKING COKE!!!
I am now patiently waiting for dinner where I plan to dive into some of Missy's yummy tomatoes with a bit of tuna, feta cheese and a splash of lite Italian dressing.
Oh yeah--Dr. Williams and Lisa finally had that baby! He arrived yesterday at 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long. Lisa and baby are both doing well! Congrats to the Williams family!!!!
Since Dr. W will be out for the next month on Daddy Leave, please send your condolences out to Dr. Carpenter because he's going to be the one stuck giving me my next fill . . . unless he can pawn it off on Jennifer N. (You take her. No, you take her. I don't wanna do her fill, she's nuts! Well neither do I! Have you felt the scar tissue on that chick? It's INSANE! Yeah, the whole package is insane!)

is he still there? I thought he was leaving in July. Totally wish he would stay. Is it wrong to have a crush on your surgeon! lol. He is just slightly less cute than my adorable husband! 
Thanks everyone. We are so thrilled that it is coming together. I agree, the support part of this is so important. I am at that point where things are getting harder and "real life" is starting to happen. It is so good to know that there are other people in the same position. I have found that putting this stuff together has given me a reason to stay focused. accountability I guess.
I am truly thankful to have met so many people through this board and lunches and dinners and various support groups that help me on a day-to-day basis getting through this. You are all beautiful.
