GOOD MORNING TENNESSEE

Hi Tn ,

I thought i would say hello to tn board since i live here now .im still looking for a support group to go to ,any suggestions i live in hixson . i miss california but beginning to like it here some . im sure its going to take me some time to get really settled here . but im going to do my best to make friends and get to like it here more . i just moved into my own apartment so that is a good thing . anyways again i just wanted to say hello

thank you . yea the move from cali to here as been rough since all my family lives in california ,my duaghter and my  friends but i moved out here to tn with my little brother and then when we got here they told me i had to move by july 1st ,and that i should look for a place for myself so i did. and i moved out into my own place on june 24th . i am happy being by myself its a first for me , i have always lived with some one ... so its total different forsure . but im sure life here in tn will get better for me .i have faith it will .

It's a culture shock.  I moved around a lot as a kid lived in Vista, Ca. before coming back to TN. were everything was open 24/7 and the fast pace of the city.  But in time I started to get use to TN life style and now a lot of years later I can't see why anyone would live in a major city.  Hang in there it will be what you make it. I too am a transplant from CA. Was born and raised in So. Cal, but moved here in 99. I love it here. I dont even like to visit cali anymore and thats where all my family is as well. I make them come here.

Hi...welcome...we are from the West Coast, too....I was born/raised in Reno & my husband is from Northern California....we have been in Tennessee for 11 years & really love it here. I do miss so much about the west coast...a 2 hour drive to the ocean, mountains to ski, tons of lakes, San Francisco just a few hours away....heading off to Vegas for fun.....dry heat w/no humidity & most days in Reno 85 degrees w/a little breeze....lots to do there, but, raising our kids here has been amazing & I definitely wouldn't trade it.

thanks ,thats what im noticing alot of californians are out here ,where i work there is alot of cali people ,i wonder why here thou ya know .i like the rent prices vs california but i dont like that tn taxes on food .i think that is just wrong i dont know why they do that ...i lived in northern california last year at yosemite national park , i wouldve been still there had i not been rushed to emergency clinic in yosemite and then rushed to modesto hospital ,i had to under go emergency gallbladder surgery where i acturally stopped breathing and they said that they didnt know if i was going to come back ,they brought the crash cart out and everything then they did tests to make sure there was no damage from me being gone so long . i quess it wasent my time to go . im trying to get back on track after being off track for so long ,its not easy let me tell you . i want to meet people and make friends and go to a support group but not sure where there is one here in hixson or chattanooga ...
